Amsterdam Covered With Snow During The Winter, Noord-Holland
While John Wark’s powder-covered American West feels vast, immense, and all about wide open spaces, Bram Van de Biezen’s Netherlands elicit feelings of intimacy and snugness in that way that snow has of deafening out the sounds of a busy city and making one feel insulated. This is an incredibly impressive feat considering that Amsterdam, one of the cities upon which he focuses his lens, receives more than 4.63 million international visitors annually and is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
