About Steve Brockett

After 14 years of a flying the skies via a paraglider, Steve Brockett's artistic world was changed with the advent of the paramotor in 2006. With less time focused on maneuvering his aircraft, Steve was able to concentrate on the subtleties of the land below him. What he saw, and was drawn to, was a textural landscape and mark-making that spoke to him in the manner of his oil paintings, for which he was already a renowned talent. With his hands free for his camera, Steve was able to express his artistic talent through a new medium: aerial photography.

Born in Worthing UK in 1960, Steve moved to Wales as a child where he later undertook his professional training in Fine Art and Painting at Cardiff. Between 1985 and 2002, he exhibited widely and developed an international reputation for Kite Art. In the early 90’s, Steve began spending time in Spain and in 1998 returned to oil painting. Most of his paintings are to commission and, alongside kites, are held in numerous private collections around the world. For more information, please visit www.stevebrockett.com.
