Back Bay Fens, Boston
Down the ‘hill’ is the U.S.’s premier public park, established by the Puritans in 1634, and just across the way is the country’s earliest public botanical garden, Boston’s Public Garden. Amidst flowers and formal hedgerows, the garden’s man-made lake delights visitors with the famous Swan Boats, operated since 1877.
