Kite aerial photographer Rob Huntley took a trip to Canada’s second-smallest province for some extra big payoff.
Never more than 42 miles from the Atlantic Ocean at any point, a visitor to Nova Scotia will have plenty of invigorating vistas and adventures at his or her disposal in the province’s 7 distinct regions. For Rob Huntley, who often had to struggle against strong winds denying him flight time or, if attempted, breaking parts on his kite, it was important to follow an encouraging adage during his visit to the Canadian peninsula: “You don’t get it if you don’t try.” Just a short distance from the vibrant city of Halifax, Nova Scotia’s capital city and blend of bustling city life with old-world charm, is the small town of Prospect where Rob says, “I immediately fell in love with the setting of this village.” His images of small, quaint homes scattered over the burnished earth, with seemingly no fear for the pressing water at the land’s edge, beg the viewer to come and visit, if not stay a while.
