The Dead Sea, nestled between the shores of Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank, is considered one of the greatest natural landmarks in the world.
From Egyptian travelers seeking balms for the purposes of mummification, to King Herod bathing in is restorative waters, to tourists from around the world frolicking on its beaches, the Dead Sea has been attracting visitors for thousands of years. Recently however, in just a handful of years, this natural wonder has begun to vanish.
With an understanding of lighting and framing, Ben Tov, through his lens in the sky, offers us the rare opportunity to pause time on these contrasts of the Dead Sea; a sea whose very name contrasts against the beauty it beholds. And he offers us the opportunity to pause time to appreciate a beauty that might one day be gone.
